Robert Picardo would make Ricky Nelson’s “Traveling Man” envious. In his long acting career he has been throughtout the Alpha and Delta Quadrants of the Milky Way Galaxy. Was gated to the SGC Beta Site on the otherside of the Milky Way and now will make the giant leap into the Pegasus Galaxy.
In a recent interview with The Movie Reporter on IESB, Picardo revealed that his supporting character, Dr. Richard Woolsey, from Stargate SG-1 will be gating into Atlantis next season to tighten N.I.D.’s bureaucratic knot around Dr. Weir’s neck. “I’m basically there to review whether or not she should maintain her command.” Picardo remarked. “So I’m kind of a bad guy who means well. So she’s a little afraid of me, but I think by the end we have a meeting of minds.”
Picardo will be featured in several episodes on Stargate: Atlantis throughout season three due to resume this summer, including the opening two episodes “No Man’s Land” and “Misbegotten.”
