Frakes On Trek

March 14, 2006 By S. K. Sloan 2 Comments

Jonathan Frakes (Captain Riker), considered by many to be the new driving force for the future of STAR TREK, is not overly concerned about the future of the legendary franchise.

In an interview with “SciFi Online” a few months ago Frakes said that he feels STAR TREK is currently in “a period of regrouping.” For him that is a good thing because from a business standpoint he thinks the market was saturated with STAR TREK. While that is seen as a good thing for the uber-loyal STAR TREK fan, it is not a good thing for the average viewer and movie goer. “I have a feeling that some time will allow everyone to have a little more hunger for a new STAR TREK endeavor,” comments Frakes.

He did say however, that if Paramount came calling to do a TV series or feature film centered around the STAR TREK: Titan Series he would most definitely be involved. His exact words were, “Sign me up!”

What are you waiting for, we have all waited a long time for the rise of “Captain Riker” Space is vast, you’ve only scratched the surface with adventures seen in the Star Trek series.

Hell sign me up for the cast, I’ll work for food to be a part of something great.
