Bryan Singer and Christopher Nolan are already being sought after to sign on for a sequel to Superman Returns before the man of steel’s long-awaited comeback is even official.
“Superman Returns” isn’t scheduled for theatrical release until June 30th of this year, but Warner Bros. Pictures is itching to make a sequel to it.
Singer still has to finish his remake of “Logan’s Run” before he can commit to the next Superman project, but the studio is confident he will come on board.

Wait a minute. This movie hasn’t even opened yet.
Serenity has come and gone and is now in DVDLand but there’s no sequel talk there.
Why on earth are these people considering a sequel so soon? Is it to start re-capping that money they’ve already spend?
And LOGAN’S RUN?? Wasn’t the first one bad enough?
I loved the book. I was appalled at the movie. I think it was the first time I’d ever seen a movie from a book I read and I was absolutely flabberghasted (love that word) at the movie. I think after the credits finished rolling my words were “WTF was THAT?!”

I’m excited to see this new Superman movie, but WB would be better off making sure this one doesn’t suck before committing 200 million more for another one. I think this will be a very good movie, but making another one before even seeing if the public likes it as much as the studio does is a bad idea.
Never seen ‘Logan’s Run’, so don’t know anything about that.
And what about ‘Serenity’? Didn’t that flop?
