Lionsgate and Marvel media have joined forces for a direct-to-DVD presentation of Ultimate Avengers: The Movie.
The animated flick is based on The Ultimates (a.k.a. The Avengers), a best selling Marvel comic series. The real exciting news is the movie stays right on track with the original comic book premise.
Ultimate Avengers: The Movie is expected to be a real whiz-bang, right of the shelf seller for Marvel with appearances by all your favorite superheros – Captain America, The Hulk, Thor, Giant Man, Iron Man and Wasp.
Look for some great voice-over work provided by Justin Gross, Mark Hamill and Olivia d’Abo, just to name a few of the actors involved with this project.
The animation is awesome and the only reason I can gather it’s not going to the big screen first is its shorter 72-minute length.
The other great piece of news is you won’t have to wait long to have it playing on your television sets. It will be available in stores on February 21, 2006 with added features that include interactive menus, Avenger trivia, a special First Look segment, trailers, DVD-ROM Game, and many more extras. Formats available: DVD, UMD and PSP.
