Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry, son of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, and film producer in his own right, has officially joined the production team of Star Trek: New Voyages.
Roddenberry will be listed as a “Producer” in the credits. He had already been working behind the scenes for a few months in an uncredited role.
Star Trek: New Voyages is rapidly becoming a Fan-Film force to be reckoned with. Just recently they were the first fan-based film production to be listed on the internet’s prestigious IMDb Website.
Famed Sci-Fi writer D.C. Fontana and the Star Trek legendary actor Walter Koenig have also announced a collaboration on an upcoming episode of the series.
Now that Paramount has put Star Trek in dry-dock and with the signing-on of the heir to the Star Trek Universe (Roddenberry) with New Voyages as a producer, Star Trek: New Voyages is the undisputed keeper of the Star Trek “Keys of the Kingdom.”
In my opinion, those keys couldn’t be in better hands.
