Whedon: Only One Female "Avenger"

When "The Avengers" hits theaters in 2012, there will be only one female member of the group, says director Joss Whedon.

Whedon revealed that member will be Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson. The announcement squashed rumors that the Wasp might play a role in the film.

Toshiba Developing Glasses Free 3-D Sets

As 3-D attempts to make the jump to the home theater market, Toshiba is looking to make a splash in the arena with 3-D sets that won't require the use of special glasses.

Company spokeswoman Yuko Sugahara confirmed such technology was in the works. But she declined to comment on a report in the Yomiuri newspaper that the Tokyo-based company plans to start selling the new TVs by the end of the year.
