"Family Guy" To Spoof "Jedi"
Seth MacFarlane and company are back along with several guest voices including semi-regulars Adam West and Carrie Fisher; Rush Limbaugh (as the Sarlaac pit monster); and Patrick Stewart and Michael Dorn in a Star Trek: The Next Generation riff. The movie goes on sale December 21 on DVD and Blu-ray.
"Piranha 3-D" Won't Show Wet T-Shirt Footage At Comic-Con
Calling it a "disappointment," director Alexandre Aja says he won't be showing R-rated footage of a wet t-shirt contest that turns into a piranha feeding frenzy at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con.
"It doesn't make sense to go to an event like Comic-Con and not show what the movie is," Aja told the NY Times. "It's frustrating because I was so excited to show this at Comic-Con—I made the movie for that crowd."
MGM Gets Sixth Debt Extension
MGM asked for and has received a sixth debt extension, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
That means the financially troubled studio will have more time to try and get its financial house in order before declaring bankruptcy. It also means the studio will have a chance to try and find a way to get some of its bigger name franchises like "The Hobbit" and James Bond up and running again.
However, both projects wouldn't see theaters until 2012 at the earliest.
Allen Still Under Contract for Fourth "Toy Story"
The man behind the voice of Buzz Lightyear could reprise his role for a fourth "Toy Story" installment--assuming Disney and Pixar decided to do another one.
Tim Allen is reportedly still under contract to voice Buzz for a fourth film.
Dolenz Joins "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid"
Add another former singing star to the cast of SyFy's upcoming "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid."
Former Monkee, Mickey Dolenz has signed on for the project. Dolenz joins 80's pop stars Debbie Gibson and Tiffany in the film.

The latest DC animated direct-to-home theater movie, "Batman: Under the Red Hood" is set to debut on July 27.
But if you're attending San Diego Comic Con, you can catch the world debut of the film on Friday, July 23.
