When zombies invade the world of Jane Austin on the big-screen, it looks like they'll be trying to feed on the brain of actress Natalie Portman.
Portman has joined the cast of the big-screen adaptation of "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" reports SciFi Wire. The actress will also serve as a producer on the project with director Richard Kelly.
Further validating what we've been saying on Slice of SciFi for the past couple of years, genre fans are among the earliest embracers of new ways to utilize content.
Nielsen just released their list of the top time-shifted series of 2009. And many of the top series fall into the genre cateogry with the leader being SyFy's "Battlestar Galactica."

The vocal group of fans of despise "Stargate: Universe" will have at least one more season to call for the show's cancellation. And for those fans who enjoy the new series, they'll have a chance to enjoy it for another full year.
