October 28, 2009 By Michael Hickerson 4 Comments

If you missed the first sesaon of “Legend of the Seeker” or just want a quick refresher before the second season begins on November, set the recording device or make plans to tune into SyFy on Thursday, November 6 from 6 p.m. to midnight.

legend-of-the-seeker-poster1SyFy will repeat six episodes of the popular syndicated series during that time, including fan favorites and pivotal episodes for the upcoming second season.

The marathon begins with the series premiere, when Richard (Craig Horner, “Monarch Cove” and “Blue Water High”) first discovers his destiny to stop the sinister tyrant Darken Rahl (Craig Parker, “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” and “The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers”). Richard partners up with the beautiful and mysterious Kahlan (Bridget Regan, “Sex and the City” and “The Best and the Brightest”), and a wise and powerful old wizard named Zedd (Bruce Spence, “Mad Max 2” and “The Matrix Revolutions”), who have both sworn to assist Richard in his mission. The six episodes featured in the marathon are “Prophecy,” followed by “Destiny,” “Denna,” “Puppeteer,” “Conversion” and “Fever.”

I wish SyFy would air actual SciFi shows, like FireFly, Dark Angel, Quantum Leap, or Sliders. How… why… what are they thinking with Seeker? It’s not SciFi and not even a good reflection of the book IMO.

It’s not wrestling or reality and it’s in the sci-fi/fantasy genre, so I’m happy. (Even if they’re just airing repeats as an “event” and not airing the first-run episodes)

True, it is far better than wrestling.

Cool! I will be watching. I think I missed a few episodes towards the end.
