During last week’s TCA press tour, Fox declined to comment on whether it would show the final six episodes of the animated series, “King of the Hill.” The network made the decision last spring to stop ordering new episodes of the long-running animated series, but becuase of the long lead time to produce new installments, a handful of new episodes remained after this year’s season finale.
With the news that Fox wasn’t sure if they were going to air them, many “King” fans wondered if they’d have to wait for syndication or the DVD release of the latest season to see the final six episodes.
The good news is that they’ll get to see at least two of the six final episodes later this year. According to TV Guide Online, Fox will air a series finale of “Hill” on September 13.
The hour-long run will include two new episodes for fans and will serve as the finale for the show.
In the first hour, “The Boy Can’t Help It,” Bobby is on the prowl for a date to the homecoming dance. The second — and last — episode, dubbed “The Honeymooners,” finds Hank’s mother marrying a man she has recently met.
