Writer Jordan Clark and artist Atagun Ílhan talk about creating ANCESTRAL RECALL, bringing the story to publication, and where things may go beyond the story we have so far.

They talk about their history with DC Comics’ Milestone Initiative and how the work there impacted their solo and collaborative work, the importance of history and remembering history as it actually happened (or close to the facts rather than erasing the rougher and more distasteful aspects of what happened), working in a collaborative rhythm with this story and playing with cultural influences and weaving more science fiction, fantasy and Afrofuturism into the mix, the importance of having a creator-owned project, and much more.

ANCESTRAL RECALL TPB (collecting Issues #1-5) is available now from AHOY Comics.
