Writer Ian Doescher has brought his pen and his love of Shakespeare back to the Star Wars universe, now giving us The Mandalorian in iambic pentameter.

Ian talks about how Lucasfilm approached Insight Editions about the previous 9 books, and about adapting “The Mandalorian” Season 1, and potentially more of the TV series going forward. He also talks about the challenge of distilling an 8 episode season into a single 5 act adaptation, as compared to adapting the trilogy movies, one movie at a time.

All of the previous Shakespeare’s Star Wars volumes have been updated and are available now at Insight Editions, reissued in lovely leather-textured hardcover and in trade paperback… and keep your eye out for “Ahsoka’s Tale” this fall.
