Editor and author James Aquilone talks about adapting the classic WEIRD TALES magazine into a graphic novel format, expanding on the work that Jonathan Maberry and John Harlacher have been doing since they resurrected the magazine in 2019.

He talks about how he convinced the magazine editors to give him the greenlight to do a graphic novel, about finding the stories he wanted to adapt and the artists best suited to bring those stories to life, and much more.

The prestige format graphic novel will feature collectible cover art by Kelley Jones, Eric Powell and Colton Worley, and include both adapted classic stories and new stories by such authors as Robert E. Howard, Ray Bradbury, H. P. Lovecraft, Steve Niles, C. L. Moore, and others.

Read more at the Kickstarter page (launching soon): WEIRD TALES – A Graphic Novel of Bizarre & Unusual Stories. Project opens February 16.
