Writer-director Alexandre O. Philippe (Memory: The Origins of Alien, Leap of Faith: William Friedkin on The Exorcist) talks about his newest documentary, CHAIN REACTIONS, a series of interviews of artists whose careers were impacted in different ways by Tobe Hooper’s THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE.

We talk about his interviews with Patton Oswalt, Takashi Miike, Alexandra Heller-Nicholas, Stephen King, and Karyn Kusama, and about their first time viewing the film and the impact it had on their careers and approaches to creative expression. It’s a different style of documentary, focused on the dialogue from the artists, as well as some never-before-seen outtakes from the film.

There will be a blu-ray coming soon, a 3-disc box set that will include many outtakes from the original film, plus 8 different transfers ranging from VHS to 16mm to 35mm, and more.

CHAIN REACTIONS is in theaters nationwide on September 26 from Dark Sky Films.
