This interview was conducted prior to the July 14 start of the SAG-AFTRA strike.
Director Samuel Bodin and actor Woody Norman talk about making COBWEB, the new horror-thriller from Lionsgate. While a child is the center of the story, it’s more about the confusion and feelings of abandonment and betrayal that Peter feels when the viewer realizes he has no trust in his parents and doesn’t know how to tell others what he’s going through.
Having a young actor go through so much, and effectively using the design of the sets to enhance the feelings of uncertainty and mistrust to bring the fear of the creature to the forefront makes the story feel like it could be real.
COWBEB is in theaters July 21 from Lionsgate.
