Summer joins forces with Noah and Clif to talk about the new BET+ thriller The Reading, starring Mo’nique, written and directed by Courtney Glaudé, and executive produced by Lee Daniels.

Oh, and there will be SPOILERS here, and varied opinions.

The movie isn’t perfect, but it’s a throwback to older 80s and 90s slasher/thrillers where the mayhem was the point, and brilliant strategizing was not expected from the protagonists nor the antagonists. Yes, Summer enjoyed it and thought Mo’nique’s delightfully maniacal performance carried the entire film.

The Reading premiered on February 2, and is available on the streaming service BET+. And will there be a sequel?
