“Marvel’s Runaways” Season 3 will be its last The Season 3 trailer arrives, along with premiere date

November 18, 2019 By Summer Brooks Leave a Comment

The news that had been dreaded since the first cancellation announcements about the Marvel shows on Netflix has arrived: Hulu’s upcoming season 3 of “Marvel’s Runaways” will be its last.

This season has been highly anticipated, after the announcement that Cloak and Dagger would be making an appearance on the show (an announcement that came only a few short weeks before the cancellation of Freeform’s hit Marvel show), so the announcement of the new trailer, the season premiere date and the show’s cancellation all at the same time is a little much.

Both “Cloak and Dagger” on Freeform and “Runaways” on Hulu have been popular with the fans, and critically hailed as well, especially the trafficking storyline on “Cloak & Dagger” Season 2 this past year.

Now that “Legion” (FX) has come to a close, with “The Gifted” being cancelled from Fox, and “Cloak & Dagger” having ended its run on Freeform, there are no more Marvel mutants on broadcast or cable TV. The last Marvel show still on TV is “Agents of SHIELD”, currently on ABC, having just completed a 13-episode Season 6 this past spring, and will be airing its final 13-episode Season 7 sometime in mid-2020.
