This week, comics artist & editor David Leach talks about the search to put together “The Prisoner: The Original Art Edition” featuring the previously unpublished comic created by Jack Kirby & Gil Kane in the 1970s.
This first publication of this edition comes from Titan Comics, along with several other titles on the way, like “The Prisoner: Shattered Visage” which is a reprint of the official sequel published in the 80s, plus a new “Blade Runner” graphic novel project in the works.
David also talks about meeting some of his favorite comics writers and artists, his love of other older comics, like Dan Dare, and classic monster movies and so much more.

A fun interview. I was surprised there was no mention about Big Finish’s wonderful re-imagining of The Prisoner in audio by Nick Briggs.
David and I could have talked for another 2 hours about all sorts of old school scifi. It never dawned on me to ask him what he knows about the audio adaptations, but I can always send him an email 🙂
