“Avengers: Infinity War” is the Icing on the MCU Cake

“Avengers: Infinity War” is the Icing on the MCU Cake

April 27, 2018 By Noah Richman and Daren Gulsvig Leave a Comment

Bringing together 10 years of Marvel Cinematic Universe stories, some great, some just okay, we begin the end of Phase 3 with Avengers: Infinity War, with our heroes fighting Thanos’ arrival on Earth to collect all of the Infinity Stones and eradicate half the living beings in the Universe.

Given the sheer number of Marvel heroes present, and the number of story lines that needed to be followed and connected, Noah and Daren were hopeful but half-expecting a bloated attempt to shoehorn one movie into being a sequel to at least 5 linked previous films.

They were joyously mistaken, and enjoyed the ride that The Russo Brothers have crafted in this film, successfully pulling off the impossible, in bringing together all those characters and story arcs and maintain a satisfying level of emotional engagement.

Rating (Noah): 4.5 out of 5 stars
Rating (Daren): 5 out of 5 stars
