Agents of SHIELD Season 2

The Fall 2014 season of TV programming is well underway, and Tim Callender had a few things to talk about regarding a couple of his favorite shows: Agents of SHIELD and Doctor Who.

First, Summer and Tim chat about Agents of SHIELD, and Tim really likes the new direction the story’s going in following the aftermath of the fallout of the revelations from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, of HYDRA’s infiltration of SHIELD, and of still trying to do their jobs even while the world thinks they’re corrupted and can’t be trusted.

Yes, Summer thinks it’s hilarious that Tim’s explanation of how best to get new viewers into Agents of SHIELD sounds eerily similar to how for years many of us laid out the best ways to get new viewers hooked into watching Babylon 5… that amusing comparison isn’t lost on either of us!

Doctor Who: Capaldi and Coleman

Next, they chat about the changes in tone and demeanor Peter Capaldi has brought to the latest incarnation of The Doctor, and so far he likes what some of those implications have meant for the Doctor’s traveling companions and other people who might have the misfortune of being imperiled when this Doctor has a task to complete.

There’s also a review for the new horror movie Ouija by Daren Gulsvig, and while he sort of enjoyed it, he’s still searching for that perfect horror movie that will both warm and terrify his heart.

Sci-FriedAnd yes, new theme music is just one more item on the list of upcoming changes for Slice of SciFi. My deepest and heartfelt thanks go out to the guys from Sci-Fried for creating a set of awesome new themes for the show, and more changes are in store that we hope you’ll all enjoy.

I have to completely agree with joining series 1 half way through series 1 of Agents of SHIELD. I personally wanted more from the beginning of the series, it felt a little too much like Disney was involved but by half way through the series they really hit their stride and then I loved the rest of the series.
