A new take on the classic Frankenstein story is headed to the silver screen.
And we’ve learned a bit about who will play two of the lead roles in the upcoming film.
Actor Daniel Radcliffe has been cast as Igor and James McAvoy will play Victor Von Frankenstein.
Max Landis (Chronicle) penned the script for the film, which Radcliffe has said is “far and away the best script [he’s] read coming out of a big studio in the time that [he’s] been off Harry Potter”.
The story is based around the character of Frankenstein’s hunchback lab assistant Igor, who does not appear in Shelley’s original novel.
This project is one of several Frankenstein stories currently in development in Hollywood.
The Aaron Eckhart-starring I, Frankenstein debuted footage at Comic-Con last weekend, while Guillermo del Toro has also announced that he wants to direct Benedict Cumberbatch in a new version.
