Simpsons Crossing Over With Other Animated Series

Simpsons Crossing Over With Other Animated Series

July 23, 2013 By Mike Hickerson Leave a Comment

In the tradition of the Jetsons meeting the Flintstones, the Griffiths will meet the Simpsons this fall in a Fox animated crossover.  An upcoming episode of Family Guy called “The Simpsons Guy” will see feature the Griffin family going on a road trip to Springfield. Simpsons voice actors Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, and Hank Azaria are all voicing characters in the Family Guy episode.

That episode should air sometime in 2014, according to Entertainment Weekly.

But that won’t be the only crossover for the first family of Springfield this year.  Simpsons producer Al Jean also revealed that the cast of Futurama will make a guest appearance on the Simpsons next season.  The episode will be airing in 2014, either as a season 25 finale in May or a season 26 premiere in the fall.

The plot will see Bender coming back in time to kill Bart because in the future “Bart does something really, really, really bad.”  The episode will be a tip of the hat to the Terminator and writer Harlan Ellison.
