To get fans ready for the upcoming X-Men: Days of Futures Past, 20th Century Fox could have brought one or two of the actors from the upcoming film to San Diego Comic Con.
The studio brought the full cast of the film to this afternoon’s panel. That included Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Anna Paquin,Halle Berry, Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart,Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage as well as director Bryan Singer.
Singer told the assembled crowd that bringing together the entire cast was a delicate balancing act given each actor’s schedules and demands. But he says he believes it will be worth it in the final product. He went on to say that this movie could be a jumping off point for future X-Men film canon and that “there’s room for expanding.”
“It’s as every bit as large as the Marvel Universe movies and the DC universe,” Singer said. He also hinted that more group films, solo projects and team-ups could come from the film.
After the panel, Singer tweeted a thank you to fans along with a photo of the cast.
