“Heroes” Revived by Dynamite

“Heroes” Revived by Dynamite

July 17, 2013 By Mike Hickerson 1 Comment

Heroes is getting a revival at your local comic book store.  Three years after the tv show was cancelled, the series will return in a new comic book series.

Dynamite Entertainment is bringing the series back as a comic book.

The new Heroes series will be written by Cullen Bunn, who has written for both Marvel and DC in addition to his ongoing independent seriesThe Sixth Gun at Oni Press. “To me, this is picking up the story and taking it from where it left off,” he told Comic Book Resources, “but there is a big curveball right from issue #1 of the comic. That will set a lot of what we’ve seen in the series on its ear. It’ll change a lot, but this is essentially the continuation of the TV series.”

No details have been released yet as to who’ll be drawing the series nor when it’ll be released, but according to Bunn, fans should expect something more akin to an anthology series featuring the characters rather than the over-arcing stories of the television series. “This is an ensemble cast, but each issue will probably focus on one or two characters more than the others. It’ll have a rotating feel,” he said.

Hopefully they’ll rectify the first mistake they ever made, and FIX those goddamn paradoxes, by having the story take place in the original future.
