New “Dark Knight” Trilogy Coming to Blu-Ray

If you waited for a box set of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, we’ve got good news for you.

The box set is coming to stores in September.

A Blu-ray “Ultimate Collector’s Edition” of the trilogy will hit stores on September 24.

The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector’s Edition featuring Nolan’s three films — Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises –– will include two new featurettes and exclusive new collectible memorabilia. The six-disc set will cost $99.97.

The first new featurette, The Fire Rises: The Creation and Impact of The Dark Knight Trilogy, will take a look back at the creation of the franchise. It will feature never-before-seen footage and exclusive interviews with Guillermo Del Toro, Damon Lindelof, Michael Mann, Richard Roeper, Zack Snyder and others.

The second new featurette is titled Christopher Nolan & Richard Donner: A Conversation.For the first time, Nolan will sit down with director Richard Donner (1978’s Superman) to discuss the process of bringing two iconic superheroes to the big screen.

The collector’s edition also features new memorabilia including Hot Wheels vehicles of the Batmobile and Batpod; Mondo art cards of Scarecrow, Joker, Bane, Harvey Dent, and Ra’s al Ghul; and a 48-page hardcover book with images from all three films.
