“Falling Skies” Returns to TV

“Falling Skies” Returns to TV

June 4, 2013 By S. K. Sloan 2 Comments

TNT is bringing back Falling Skies for its third season on June 9, 2013. Since it has been nearly a full year since the season two finale the network has been running a marathon every day of the past two seasons to enable everyone to catch up and be ready for the beginning of season three.

When Season Three begins it will have been seven months since our group of survivors lead by series star Noah Wyle (E.R.) and Will Patton (24) have entered into what was once the city of Charleston, South Carolina. Charleston has been designated the capital of the New United States.

fscThis season will see a tenuous alliance formed between the new U.S. government, the 2nd Mass and the band of rebel skitters now co-led by Ben Mason (Connor Jessup), son of Wyle’s character Tom Mason.

The war between the invading and occupying alien force, called the Espheni, enters a new volatile phase. They are now being led by an unrelenting leader and overlord bent on the destruction of all humans and especially the rebel skitters. To complicate the scenario a new race of aliens have entered the fray. Question is – are they friend or foe to the humans and their skitter allies?

The lineup of guest stars for season three is impressive with Terry O’Quinn (LOST) returning, fan favorite Doug Jones (Hellboy), fellow E.R. star Gloria Reuben, Stephen Collins (7th Heaven, Star Trek the Motion Picture) and Robert Sean Leonard (House).

Look for Season Three of Falling Skies to begin June 9, 2013 on TNT.

It’s about frelling time! Something has to fill the void left by The Walking Dead. What they should do is have TWD run from October to March then have Falling Skies run from April through September. That would be alright with me.

Glad to see that it’s finally back…one of the few shows I watch that I have to see the night that it actually airs.
