Early sales of tickets for Star Trek Into Darkness have been so robust, Paramount has decided to launch the film a day earlier.
The new film will open wide next Thursday, May 16.

Doesn’t this sort of screw over all the people who thought they were going to be among the first to see it?
I will not see it a day earlier since I never go to the movie theater. I’ll be waiting for the BluRay and watching it in my own home theater. It’s been 5 1/2 years since I set foot in a movie theater.
Fine with me…the earlier it opens the less people are in the later viewings…hate crowded theaters…Iron Man 3 was like a bunch of packed sardines.
