“Fables” Games In Development

The company that gave us the Walking Dead video game is developing a new game based on the popular comic book series Fables.

Telltale Games will launch the DC Comics/Vertigo property under a different name, presumably to avoid association with Lionhead Studios’ RPG property.

“We won’t be using the name Fables,” Telltale CEO Dan Connors told IGN. “We’re based on the property, but we’ll have a new name. We haven’t announced it yet. We’re still hammering it out. We want to make sure that people know it’s associated with the DC comic and Bill [Willingham]’s work and everything else. It’s delicate. But it won’t be called Fables.
