Philip K. Dick’s influential classic The Man in the High Castle is coming to Syfy.
The cable outlet will adapt the novel as mini-series. The four-hour adaptation of one of the earliest (and best) alternate histories published will be developed for the screen by former X-Files producer Frank Spotnitz and Ridley Scott.
The mini-series will be produced by Scott’s Scott Free Productions with Headline Pictures, Electric Shepherd Productions and FremantleMedia International. Spotnitz will write its first two hours and supervise the writing of the second two hours, Syfy said.
No word yet on when production will begin or when we might see the finished product.
