Best-selling author George R.R. Martin has signed a contract extension that will keep him around as an executive producer for Game of Thrones for two more years.
Deadline reports that Martin’s new deal will not only keep him working on Thrones, but includes a deal to develop a new series for HBO.
This could mean Martin will continue to script one installment per season of the hit series, as he has for the first two seasons.
Of course, this also means that he will be busy and won’t have as much time to devote to the sixth print installment of A Song of Ice and Fire.
