“Thrones” Adds Cast Members

“Thrones” Adds Cast Members

August 3, 2011 By Mike Hickerson Leave a Comment

Game of Thrones is adding more cast members to the growing world of Westeros.

Nonso Anozie has signed on for the second season and will play Qartheen merchant prince called Xaro Xhoan Daxos. The character offers Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and her followers shelter and advice in the city of Qarth.

Anozie’s casting comes shortly after it emerged that Gemma Whelan has signed up to play Theon Greyjoy’s older sister Yara, who is known as Asha in George RR Martin’s novels.

Liam Cunningham, Carice van Houten, Stephen Dillane, Natalie Dormer and Gwendoline Christie are among the other stars who have landed roles in the second season of Game of Thrones.
