How Long Will We Wait For A New Big Screen Batman?

How Long Will We Wait For A New Big Screen Batman?

January 24, 2013 By Mike Hickerson 2 Comments

If you love the cinematic version of Batman, you’d better enjoy your DVDs or Blu-Rays of the Nolan trilogy.

According to Batman-on-Film, Warner Brothers doesn’t want the Dark Knight  on screen again until the Justice League movie in 2015 and doesn’t see Batman getting his own solo movie until 2017.

No word yet on the hesitation to keep Batman under wraps until then.  It could be that Warner Brothers wants to re-establish the Superman franchise and then get its DC Universe films up and running before Batman returns.  Or it could be that they’re willing to let the Dark Knight live on in the animated universe in that time and not be overshadowed by a big-screen version.

But it does look like we’ll have a long wait for more Batman….

Kevin Conroy is Batman as far as I’m concerned. And if he’s not going to do it anymore; who should?

Phew, for a moment there I thought they were going to be like “Ok now that the Nolan trilogy is done, you have to completely forget about it for our next film this year.” I am so glad they’re giving it a rest before they eventually ruin batman with this reboot.

I love batman, but I have a feeling that this reboot just isn’t going to be as good as it could be. It’d be nice if they made it more like the Arkham games, but seriously, what are the chances of that.
