As rumors and speculation about the details of the upcoming Star Wars film continue, one recent tidbit floats to the top. It comes in the form of a tweet from Peter Sciretta of /Film, where he poses a simple question.
“Who said the lead character in Star Wars Episode VII is going to be a male star? :)”
Now either he knows something, or he doesn’t.
However this does bring to mind one of the first things I wondered when I heard about a new movie set to take place after Return of the Jedi, what story could they be telling. The expanded universe has the years after Jedi covered fairly well between the comics and novels, which begs the questions.
Will we hear of the Solo kids?
Or will we be meeting Luke’s daughter?
krazeytrucker says
Luke’s daughter? Luke and Jade had a son. Ben.
Laith Preston says
Yes, that is correct. In all the story we have been told so far, Luke and Mara had the one son. Han and Leia had three kids, who continued the family drama.
This is why I’ve wondered about these movies, the books and comics have decades immediately post Jedi covered really solidly.
I’m afraid that to do the movie they almost have to retcon something.
