If you were holding out hope that we’d see all the living Doctors participate in the 50th anniversary celebration of Doctor Who, our next story will be a bit of a wet blanket.
Actor Christopher Eccleston, who starred for one season, says he could not care less about the upcoming celebration and he has no plans to be involved with it.
“Would I like to be involved? If I told you that, I’d have to shoot you. I’ve not even thought about it. It’s so long ago for me that I haven’t even thought about it,” he says. “I’ve not seen [Matt Smith] as the Doctor, but I’ve seen him on stage—he’s an excellent actor.”
Not sound too hopeful, is it?

I don’t know why this surprises anyone, especially decades-long Whovians who saw this happen 30 years ago when Tom Baker didn’t return for the 20th Anniversary episode “The Five Doctors”. All they did to put him in the episode was use footage from the never completed episode “Shada”.
