In our younger days, many of us collected and traded comic books back and forth.
It appears that 20th Century Fox and Marvel Studios are working on a trade of their own–but not over comic books but comic book characters.
As you may recall, 20th Century Fox has the movie rights to Daredevil and would like to hang on to them. The studio is reportedly working with director Joe Carnahan on a noir-style, Frank-Miller-like reboot of the blind hero, but may not make the deadline of October 10th to start filming or loose the rights to the character.
Not wanting to lose their time or investment, Fox may be willing to trade another Marvel owned character back to the studio for a bit of breathing room. According to Variety, Fox could give up the rights to Galactus in return for having more time to make Daredevil a reality. They’d also trade the screen rights to the Silver Surfer as part of the package.
The deal does not include The Fantastic Four at this point.
