Which DC Hero Is Coming to SyFy?

July 25, 2012 By Mike Hickerson 4 Comments

Green Arrow isn’t the only DC hero that could be on our TV screens in the near future.

According to MTV, the pilot script for Booster Gold will be delivered to SyFy next month.  Andrew Kreisberg  says he’s working on the pilot script and that he plans to submit it to the cable outlet soon.

“Yes! I’m actually turning that [script] in next month,” he said in an interview with KSiteTV at Comic-Con this year. “It was very cool; I got to meet Dan Jurgens last night, who created the character and the comic book, who I had never met before. So I spent a lot of time explaining to him what a fan I was, so he didn’t think I was some random gun for hire who was going to ruin his baby.”

I’ve been hearing this rumor for weeks. To be honest, I don’t see it working out. Not that I don’t want to. Gold is a great character (when in the hands of a competent writer anyway; seriously f*** you JLA Act of God), but I just am having SGU deja vu.

But SGU was good…so therefore, by your logic, this project would be good.

Yes. It’ll be good, and there’ll be an arc that we will never see finish because it’ll get canceled half a season in.

And Boo$ter Gold will never jump the shark, it will not be allowed enough episodes to allow that.
