When the Emmy nominations were announced yesterday, once again Fringe was overlooked.
And while many of us have resigned ourselves to the fact that the marvelous work on this series has been and will continue to be overlooked, one of those involved with the show has called the Emmys out on the snub.
On Twitter, Leonard Nimoy said, “No Emmy nomination for Fringe. Ridiculous.So much talent. So much hard work. So much imagination. LLAP.”
He added, “Shouldn’t be so surprised about Fringe. Emmy has given short shrift to Star Trek for 46 years. Amazing. LLAP”
TPTB in entertainment are idiots when it comes to anything that’s hard F&SF. By “hard” I mean shows that aren’t dramas or social messages with a Fantasy or SciFi things to them. Right now, the best shows on TV are Fringe, Grimm, Falling Skies, The Walking Dead, Being Human, and other like that whose names I can’t remember at the moment ’cause my brain hurts.
