We already know should Joss Whedon write and/or direct the Avengers sequel, he wants to bring in more female characters.
But if one actor has his way, there could be another male character assembling for the next Avengers movie.
Actor Andrew Garfield tells Vulture he’d like to see Spider-Man join the Avengers for the next installment.
“I saw it, and I was blown away. And I’m going to see it again this weekend. I have no problem adding to the amount of money it’s making! [Laughs],” Garfield says. “Joss Whedon is a genius, and it’s an incredible cast. I was very, very jealous, and I wanted to jump on the screen and play with them. It killed me that I wasn’t in it, but I understand why, and I’m not insulted. But hey, if Samuel L. Jackson wants to give me a shout, I’m there for the next one!”
You may recall that there were rumors that Spidey might have a cameo in the first Avengers installment. Those proved unfounded.
Getting Spidey into the next Avengers flick might be a bit dicey since Sony owns the movie rights to the character.
