“Breaking Dawn” Wins Weekend

November 21, 2011 By Mike Hickerson 6 Comments

As expected, Breaking Dawn, Part One took the top spot at the box-office the weekend.

The fourth installment in the Twilight series scared up $139.5 million in ticket sales for its opening weekend.  That figure met what many analysts thought the film would do based on the success of previous installments in the series.

In second was the animated Happy Feet Two, with $22 million.

The sword-and-sandals epic Immortals was third with $12.3 million, followed by the Adam Sandler comedy Jack and Jill with $12 million.

The Shrek spinoff comedy Puss in Boots rounded out the top 5 with $10.7 million. It has done $122 million in four weeks.

You let your wife and daughter go out and pay money for this garbage? And you JOINED them? What in the world were you thinking? You have no excuse for such behavior.
