While we don’t yet know the identity of the villain for the next Star Trek movie, a new rumor circulating indicates who may play him.
According to Variety, actor Benicio Del Toro is in discussions to match wits with Kirk, Spock and company in the next film.
Sources close to Star Trek claim that J.J. Abrams has met with Del Toro and is interested in offering him the villain role. But supposedly, the actor doesn’t know the character’s name or how he’ll fit into the story. It sounds as if the meeting was on a need-to-know basis.
