New “Doctor Who” Trailer

New “Doctor Who” Trailer

August 4, 2011 By Mike Hickerson 3 Comments

Here’s a bit of good news–well, at least for Doctor Who fans.

The BBC has released a new trailer for season six, part 2.

It’s got some footage we’ve seen before and a couple of new things.

The series picks up August 27.

Is it just me or does the scenery and fx look better than ever. Okay…wondering about River and the eye patch because in the first part of the season I kept thinking the woman was River with an eye patch until I saw the finale. Looks much better than what Torchwood Miracle Day has turned out to be…I’ve found that to be kinda boring this time around…not nearly as good as Children of Earth at least so far.

Well we have 6 episodes remaining and everything in this trailer suggests that Moffatt plans to wrap up the majority, if not all, of the storylines started in “The Impossible Astronaut.” What concerns me is that there is a lot of ground to cover and I just worry that it might get the rush treatment like so many stories did under the Russell T. Davies regime.

I really didn’t care for how this latest season of Who started, but the series really picked up by the time of the mid-series finale. Let’s hope that the momentum that was finally achieved in “A Good Man Goes To War” can be maintained in terms of pacing and quality, and give us the answers to the questions that have been laid out in front of us since this season began.
