With DC going to digital publication of all its title the same day they see print copies, you knew it was only a matter of time for Marvel to follow suit.
The comic book giant is planning the move by the end of 2011, according to reports out of Comic Con.
The announcement was made during the ‘Marvel Digital: What’s Next?’ panel at this weekend’s Comic-Con International by Marvel Senior Vice-President of Publishing David Gabriel.
The shift will begin with next week’s Amazing Spider-Man #666, which also serves as the beginning of this summer’s ‘Spider-Island’ event.
The process will then continue in October and November with the launches of Wolverine & the X-Men and Uncanny X-Men respectively.
Gabriel explained that Marvel will continue moving to day-and-date digital with their other titles whenever a convenient ‘jump on’ point for new readers arises.
