July 6, 2011 By Michael Hickerson 8 Comments

The Internet is buzzing with news about a potential cameo for The Dark Knight Rises.

If you don’t want to know, please stop reading now…We’ll reveal SPOILERS just ahead!

According to Floss Magazine’s Twitter feed, TV’s caped crusader from the 60s could make a cameo. The magazine reports that Adam West will be on the set to film a cameo later this month.

Warner Brothers hasn’t yet confirmed any of this, so for now treat it as a rumor. But an interesting one….

I’d like to see this happen, and if Nolan has anything to do with it, it should fail completely to be cheesy. That would be a plus.

    IT’S ABOUT TIME!!!!!

    Adam West deserves this!!!

As with many of us Adam West was our first Batman! While hokey his Batman still holds a warm spot in our hearts!!

I was against a West Cameo back in the Burton days but that was back when I was really digging the darker Frank Miller Batman of the comics and I wanted them to distance the movies from the campy 60s show. In my old age I’ve grown to appreciate all the incarnations of the Bat and like others, I trust Nolan. I can see West as a retired cop who remembers something important or part of a big crime family helping to plot a scheme in a cigar smoke filled room or even a grand parent to one of the main characters.

Phooey! I read the headline and I thought they were talking about the rock band Who.

Never been an Adam West fan but Nolan should be able to pull it off with little to no suck.

While they’re at it, why not a Michael Keaton cameo to boot? Put them both on the board of directors at Wayne Corp. or something.. it would be a nice nod to previous Batmen.. though I’m alright if you leave out Kilmer and Clooney tbh.
