Ball Wants To Be Part of “True Blood” Season Five

Ball Wants To Be Part of “True Blood” Season Five

June 29, 2011 By Michael Hickerson Leave a Comment

Series producer Alan Ball hasn’t yet signed on the dotted line to work on a fifth season of True Blood, but he does tell us he is conversations to return.

And he’s feeling confident that the series will return for a fifth season and beyond.

“There are no plans for this show to end,” he said. “I’m pretty sure there will be at least one more season, if not more. It seems like it has a lot of life in it still.”

And given that the ratings for Sunday’s return were solid, the future of True Blood is looking very good for HBO and Ball.

As for the rest of season four, Ball did offer a few hints of what fans can expect to see.  Some of what we’ve got from this point forward is SPOILERish, so if you don’t want to know, please turn back now.

Fans of the novels may know that in the fourth installment, Sookie and Eric share an intimate scene in the shower.  And Ball says that scene will be played out on-screen later this year.

“There is a shower scene,” he told TV Line. “But it is not a direct re-enactment of the shower scene in the book. It goes to a slightly different place.”

However, Ball added: “Sookie and Eric are in the shower together. Everybody who’s been waiting for Sookie and Eric to hook up, this will be a very good season for them.”
