There’s more Stephenie Meyer coming to the box-office!

Thankfully, it’s not more Bella, Edward, Jacob and all the rest of the Twilight crew.

Instead, it’s an adaptation of her novel The Host.  For those of you who haven’t heard about it or read the book, the story is about an alien invasion and a woman who fight back against it.  There’s a love triangle in there, of course, but if your only experience with Meyer is the Twilight books, you may be happy to know that this one is a better story and slightly more entertaining.

Inferno Entertainment is shopping the project at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival with actress Saoirse Ronan playing the title role. Ronan can currently be seen in Hannah and it’s hoped her involvement plus Meyer’s name will find the right buyer for the project.
