If you’re a DC Universe player, odds are you’re a bit frustrated over the fact that Sony has shut down all on-line gaming.
It’s to deal with the on-going security issues the service faces. And while we can’t tell you when it will be back up and running, we do have some good news.
When the service returns, users will be given 30 days of free game play.
In a statement on the game’s Facebook page, the DC Universe Online team said that impacted players would be compensated, before stressing that all characters and items are safely stored.
“We wanted to provide everyone with a quick update regarding the ‘make good’ plan you’ve been reading about,” the statement said.
“First, all impacted players will receive 30 days subscription credit plus one day for each day the service was unavailable. Also every impacted player will receive a Batman-inspired mask appearance item.
“Please bear with us as the complexities of the subscription server dictate how and when this will be available along with pertinent details. We will be releasing more information this week. Thanks again for your patience!”

Sony: put onerous DRM and rootkits on everything, store customer information and credit card data in unencrypted text.
