Schwarzenegger Ready for Terminator 5

April 27, 2011 By Mike Hickerson 7 Comments

He said he’d be back.

Now that he’s no longer governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger is ready to return to one of the roles that helped put him on the map. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Schwarzenegger’s representatives are shopping around a package that would include a fifth Terminator film with Arnold reprising the role of the cyborg from the future he played in the first three installments.

The film would be directed by Justin Lin, who directed this week’s Fast Five. There are no screenwriter attached to the project yet.

The project is searching for a studio home.

Gods, not another Terminator movie. Why do they even bother? The Terminator franchise died with the end of the second film. Why won’t they let it lay?

Does he want to be another Harrison Ford? GO out with some dignity. Good Franchise that has been ruined. I do not think it can be saved.

Have to agree with K9…he’s a little old to reprise the role of a machine that doesn’t age. I know that technology allows for Hollywood to make older actors look younger(Bridges in Tron) but why bother. He’s an actor..why not just move on to other roles.

They aren’t love-handles. He now is equipped with extra batteries and expanded memory.

Maybe if they had him play an old version of the guy that Skynet picked for the 101 model. I think one of the novels used this idea, but I could be mistaken.
Don’t know if anything could save the series by now, but it might be a interesting twist .
    I don’t know…
