If you want to see “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” this weekend, you may be out of luck. That is if you don’t already have a ticket.
MovieTickets reports that 1000 showings of the first half of the final installment of the film have already sold out. And that tickets to other weekend screenings are rapidly selling out as well. The site reports that ticket sales for “Deathly Hallows” account for 92% of all sales on the site right now.
That means that odds are you won’t be able to walk-up at your local theater and get a ticket this weekend.
It also means that it’s not a question of if “Deathly Hallows” will open at number one, but by how much.
The big beneficiary of the sales could be Potter competitors. If the screenings are sold out, audiences may go see other movies instead.
