“Smallville” looks to continue a super tradition this fall.
On “Lois and Clark,” actress Phyllis Coates who starred as Lois in “The Adventures of Superman” played Lois’ mother in a season one episode. Now the woman who was Lois on “Lois and Clark” will play Lois’ mom on “Smallville.”
Teri Hatcher has signed on for a guest role as Lois Lane’s mother on the CW series. The new incarnation of Lois is played by actress Erika Durance.
This won’t be the first time an actress who has played Lois on-screen will be on the CW’s show. Margot Kidder had a pivotal role in the show’s early run, but not as a relation to Lois.
Hatcher will appear in the season’s eighth episode.
