Snoop Dogg Won’t Appear on “True Blood”

Snoop Dogg Won’t Appear on “True Blood”

August 10, 2010 By Michael Hickerson 4 Comments

Snoop Dogg may be a fan of HBO’s “True Blood,” but that doesn’t mean he’ll have a cameo anytime soon.

That’s according to series star Sam Trammell.

Tramell told attendees at the first “True Blood” convention in England the news.

Apparently Snoop has wanted to be on the show from the beginning,” Trammell says, ”but I don’t think Alan Ball is going to let that happen. Having such a high-profile person appear in the show, I think it would take us all out of Bon Temps. He doesn’t need to cast Snoop Dogg to get people to watch.”

But he also added : ”We’re glad he watches and likes the show, though.”

Co-star Kristin Bauer agreed, adding, “‘A lot of times on TV, when ratings dip they go for stunt casting. It’s not a good thing, and we definitely don’t need that yet.”

True Blood and Snoop Dogg. Two things I have no use for.

Snoop Dogg and True Blood – two joined things I never considered as plausible and now glad to see I was correct in my non-consideration.

That would’ve been the first ep of True Blood I’d bother to watch. Though I’m shocked, I’d never pictured Snoop to the D-oh-double-G as a vampire fan.
